Arte rupestre de la Sierra de San Miguelito

Abstract

En la porción central actual del territorio mexicano se encuentran una serie de covachas con representaciones pictóricas rupestres elaboradas por cazadores recolectores en su etapa transitoria de seminómadas, ya que comenzaban a plantar maíz, aunque seguían con sus movimientos migratorios estacionales dentro de la Sierra de San Miguelito. Estas representaciones fueron analizadas en cada icono o símbolo de manera individual y posteriormente con su composición en el panel, para poder interpretar con sus significados e interpretaciones otorgados por los pueblos existentes en el sur de los Estados Unidos y norte de México. Significantes que antes han sido pasado por alto y al mismo tiempo considerado cada sitio aislado entre sí. Incluyendo la interpretación de las figuras abstractas que por lo general se descartan y explorando un poco de la relación de estos elementos con la cartografía del territorio.
