This article examines the importance of transparency and accountability in public administration, focusing on the context of San Luis Potosí. It adopts a qualitative approach through case studies to explore in depth the policies, practices, challenges, and opportunities related to these principles in the region. The sample includes a representative selection of government institutions, civil society organizations, and other key actors. Semi-structured interviews will be used as the main data collection tool, allowing for detailed perspectives from government officials, civil society leaders, and policy experts. The analysis of the collected data will provide a contextualized understanding of the transparency and accountability situation in San Luis Potosí, identifying successful policies, challenges, and recommendations to improve public governance in the region. The study examines the importance of transparency and accountability in Mexican public administration, highlighting their crucial role in ensuring legitimacy, effectiveness, and trust in governmental institutions. Despite legislative advances and recent reforms, significant challenges persist that hinder their effectiveness, including a deep-seated culture of opacity, widespread corruption, and deficiencies in law enforcement mechanisms. To address these issues, a methodology combining qualitative and quantitative approaches is proposed, including literature review and quantitative data collection through surveys. This comprehensive approach will provide a deep understanding of the current state of transparency and accountability in Mexico, identify areas for improvement, and formulate concrete recommendations to strengthen democratic governance and promote sustainable development....

This research analyzes nine international reports that can be used by decision makers: Investors, administrators of private companies, designers and executors of public policies, among others. Also, the position that Mexico occupies in these international indexes is presented with the purpose of delving deeper, in some cases, into the public policies that represent challenges, threats, opportunities and strengths for this country. Likewise, the situation is specified, in such index, of countries with vigorous economies and, likewise, weaker ones. The objective is to demonstrate the benefits of considering these reports and encourage reflection on the facts that motivate the failures or successes, growth, decline or stagnation of different countries.
